Conventional and Analogue Systems

Conventional and Analogue Systems

At ACS we appreciate that your Fire Alarm is probably the most critical safety system within your building. Because of this, we design install and maintain fire alarm systems to the highest standard that you can rely on to give you peace of mind.

Ranging from simple systems comprising a small number of detectors, manual call points and sounders, to systems comprising numerous fire detectors, air sampling units, beam detectors, manual call points and sounders all connected to inter-communicating control panels.

We can install both conventional as well as the latest analogue addressable systems depending on your needs and budget.

Using robust and proven technologies, both our conventional and analogue systems can be installed to offer complete protection.

Fire Alarm Design

With fully trained and experienced staff, we utilise the latest CAD software to provide a complete design service.

Systems are designed to meet your (or your insurers) requirements and fully comply with BS5839 (2002) Part 1 L1, L2, L3, L4 or P1, P2, P3 or P4 catagorisation.

Open Area Fire Detection

Our complete service includes 24h monitoring of fire alarm systems, 365 days a year so that the fire brigade are quickly notified of a fire even if the building is vacated by all members of staff.

The design and installation of automatic fire detection in large open areas such as factories, warehouses and churches presents difficult deign problems. For further technical information and design solutions, read our technical bulletin here.

CCTV

CCTV

Stand alone, internal, monochrome cameras to view a specific scene and then provide a picture onto a monitor in another part of the building, is still an everyday basic requirement. These simple systems and those requiring external/internal, controllable/fixed, wired/radio telemetry cameras to be viewed at a dedicated control point or over a PC network, can all be supplied and installed by Alarm andcommunication Systems. The requirement to record/store all images can also be addressed as part of the installation.

Off site monitoring can be carried out by our alarm receiving centre which is able to receive details of alarms and also view the cameras. If required, the system could be configured to allow the client to view the camera images via the internet.

IP CCTV

A recent development in security systems has been the ever increasing use of IP CCTV. IP CCTV offers huge advantages in image quality as described in our technical bulletin: Click here. In addition to this, cameras can be simply added to your existing data infrastructure without the need for new cabling. Furthermore the use of PoE reduces the need for the installation of new power supplies as described here.

We have installed numerous IP CCTV systems ranging from 2 up to 45 camera systems and are able to design a system to meet your needs taking into account critical design considerations:-

  • Bandwidth availability
  • Viewing vrs recording quality
  • Storage Requirements
  • Network Switching requirements
  • Cabling Requirements

Another great use of IP CCTV is 360 degree cameras which allows one single camera to view an entire room. Learn more about 360 CCTV here.

Access Control

Access Control takes many different forms including:-

  • Digital Keypads - Electronic and Mechanical
  • Audio Door Entry Systems
  • Audio/Video Door Entry Systems
  • Iris/Fingerprint/Card/Keyfob Token Reader Systems
  • Automatic Car Park Barriers and Gates
  • Door Automation

All systems can work independently or several types of different systems may be required to work in conjunction with one another to achieve an overall effective solution to an access control requirement.

More sophisticated systems can provide reports of who went where, when and for how long as well as instant roll call facilities for Health and Safety site evacuation purposes. Photo ID is also available.

Whether it be single door or multi-door, audio or video, fingerprint or keyfob, barrier/gates or doors, Alarm and Communication Systems can install a variety of stand alone systems or design an integrated, online solution.
